THE FINAL DAY IS HERE…

Well, well, well, Docs Ireland is over. Someone hand us some tissues, we can’t stop crying. Through the tears, we’ll try and reminisce on a perfect final festival day here, in our last round up.

We spent our day in the Ulster Museum, home to an Egyptian mummy and now, lots of short films, as it was selection short day!

Before we get into this full debrief, we must say, the quality of all shorts this year at Docs Ireland was unbelievable, and speaks to the quality of art coming out of Ireland, as well as the importance of Docs Ireland itself. For any film fan, we think shorts is one of the best ways to enlighten our cinematic palettes, so we couldn't imagine a better end to an amazing week than by watching these films, and not just because they really bumped up our Letterboxd stats.

A still from short, Nostos.

We’ve written a little bit on our favourite films of the day HERE alongside our favourite competition shorts.

AND WITH THAT, OUR WEEK AT DOCS IRELAND IS OVER. OR IS IT...? YES. IT IS.

AS ALWAYS , DOCS IRELAND WAS AN ABSOLUTE TREAT, WHAT A WAY TO SPEND A WEEK, WATCHING FLICKS, EATING POPCORN AND MOST IMPORTANTLY... BROADENING OUR MINDS…

THANK YOU FOR FOLLOWING ALONG WITH OUR COVERAGE OF THIS ILLUSTRIOUS FESTIVAL, AND A BIG THANK YOU TO THE WHOLE DOCS IRELAND TEAM FOR HAVING US AND PUTTING UP WITH SEEING US ARRIVE PLACES VERY SWEATY AND IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE.

- LOVE, BEST BOY.
